The job responsibility of HR Managers or HR department is very essential to fulfill buyer requirements in the apparel industry. All Assistant manager, deputy manager, manager, and deputy general manager of the HR department should be in written format.
Duties of Assist. Manager
- Factory opening & Closing monitoring
- before closing the factory, all door, window, electric matter checking.
- Monitoring security and answer.
- Factory cleaning & housekeeping of the zone.
- Transport movement, parking arrangement & fuel for transport.
- Looking for wastage goods.
- Workers collection for recruitment and maintaining recruitment procedure.
- Maintaining leave record.
- Salary sheet checking before payment and sign.
- Tiffin distribution monitoring
- Maintaining a worker’s discipline.
- Uniform, ID card, uniform distribution & record keeping.
- Preparing disciplinary action related paper.
- Communication with BGMEA if needed.
- Checking license date, fire extinguisher refilling date, and ensuring all necessary documents are available.
- Arrangement of transport for the sick worker if needed.
- Arrangement of the workers’ service book.
Duties of Deputy HR Managers
- Daily recruitment
- Maintaining the worker’s personnel file.
- Conducting workers orientation for the newly joined workers.
- Giving awareness training to workers.
- Ensuring all workers are given a uniform, ID card, shoe keeping box & these are maintaining properly.
- Keeping leave form in the personal file & leave register maintaining.
- Properly maintaining compliance-related documents
- Maintaining workers discipline during in & out in the factory
- Monitoring housekeeping and cleaning on the production floor.
- Arrangement of the meeting if needed.
- Salary sheet checking before payment and signed in the sheet.
- Workers grievance handling
- Workers increment.
- Preparing several kinds of documents i.e. appointment letter, promotion letter, increment sheet, etc.
Responsibilities of HR Managers
- Monitoring all the works of subordinates.
- Overall safety & security matter of the zone
- Canteen
- All furniture and fixtures.
- The overall discipline of the factory.
- Monitoring recruitment, Salary fixation, issuing appointment letters, confirmation letters, etc.
- Preparing compliance document
- Maintaining all necessary documents, licenses, files, etc.
- Communication with BGMEA if needed.
- Monitoring purchase, transport, tiffin, cleaning.
- Grievance handling
- Monitoring wastage goods.
- Arrangement of the meeting if needed.
- Preparing notice, office order, transfer order, promotion letter, etc.
- Preparing several kinds of bills including maternity benefit bills.
- Monitoring salary/wages payment.
Duties and Responsibilities of DGM
- Designing HR. Dept.
- Developing several kinds of policy i.e. rules & regulations working hours, child labor, forced labor, nondiscrimination, harassment & abuse, security, environment, etc.
- Developing training modules for workers and staff development.
- Establish an MIS system linking with HR / Personnel dept.
- Manpower planning
- Management restructuring
- Preparing yearly budget
- Dealing with disciplinary matters.
- Dealing with labor / IR issues
- Developing admin manual and implementation.
- Developing internal control tools & procedures.
- Recruiting national experts, headhunting, negotiating, accomplishing contracts.
- Overall looking at the safety & security matters of the company.
- Training for workers and staff development.
- Overall HR, Admin & compliance related matter handling.
